How Free-Form Aminos Work: The Breakdown

Posted on : November 08, 2020 by Hardy Nutritionals® No Comments

What are free-form amino acids and how do they work?

Amino acids are essential for enzymes, neurotransmitters, hormones, muscle, and all other types of soft tissue.

Hardy's Balanced Free Form Aminos are incredibly powerful. They are based on the profile of human milk and allow the body to:

  • Heal quicker

  • Sleep better

  • Minimize drug withdrawal

  • Optimize performance

Balanced Free-form Aminos provide essential building blocks for enzymes, neurotransmitters, and hormones and are specially formulated to meet human needs by delivering a broad array of nature-select amino acids in optimal balance and form. Our proprietary formula is based on the unique amino acid profile of human milk, which is remarkably
similar around the world regardless of a mother’s diet or ethnicity.  Unlike other forms of protein, free-form amino acids are immediately bio-available, because they can be freely absorbed into the bloodstream without requiring digestion.
Our Free-form Aminos complex accelerates recovery from injury or tissue damage, supplements a low-protein diet, and attenuates the effects of over-dosed medications to assist with withdrawal. Balanced Free-form Amino Acids are a unique, effective, and powerful supplement to be used in conjunction with micronutrients.

Use Balanced Free-form Aminos for:
  • Surgery recovery
  • Injury recovery
  • Post-partum recovery
  • Workout recovery
  • Sleep & Cognition
  • Drug withdrawal
  • Diabetic lesions
  • Bedsores

Aminos are building blocks—they are precursors for enzymes, neurotransmitters, hormones, muscle, and all other types of soft tissue. Free-form amino acids are pre-digested, so they bypass digestion and go straight into the bloodstream. This makes them 100% usable by the body, even for those who are gastrointestinally compromised or have low stomach acid

In more detail, proteins are made up of long chains of individual amino acids bound together with "peptide bonds". Free amino acids or "individual amino acids" are common and synonymous terms for the amino acid building blocks of protein with all the peptide bonds completely broken.  This is what is meant by "fully digested" when this term is used to describe protein.

The body must break down peptide bonds and turn protein into individual amino acids during digestion in order to absorb and utilize any of it, because the body prefers to absorb single amino acids, not large chains of them. Breaking down protein requires stomach acid, healthy secretions of peptidase enzymes, etc.  All this digestion takes time and requires a healthy GI system, so when many people whose digestion isn't optimal eat a steak some of it gets all the way through without getting fully digested.  This means that some of the protein never gets absorbed and is basically wasted...actually it's worse than that because the undigested protein in the gut fosters the growth of illness-promoting microbial species and this is actually harmful.  In fact, above a certain volume of protein intake at any given time, incomplete digestion is the norm.  Even people with the best digestion in the world can only handle so much.  This is why free amino acids are such an efficient and effective way to supplement.

Amino acids are essential building blocks for enzymes, neurotransmitters, and hormones. In fact, all systems, organs, and tissues in our bodies require the right blend of amino acids to function properly, with the help of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients.*

For these reasons, Balanced Free-form Aminos are effective as a daily amino acid supplement as well as a specialized supplement for medication withdrawal symptoms, wound healing, immune enhancement, and much more.*

What makes Hardy's Balanced Free-form Aminos unique from other amino acid supplements?
Our amino acid blend is specially formulated to meet human needs by delivering a broad array of nature-select amino acids in optimal balance and form:

Balance: Our proprietary amino blend is based on the unique amino acid profile of human milk, which is remarkably similar around the world regardless of a mother’s diet or race. (Again, this feels repetitive.) We believe this is a key reason why individuals have reported such significant benefits from taking our specially balanced amino acid formula. Nature knows best!

Form: Pure ‘free-form’ amino acids need no digestion. They are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream and immediately available to be used for many metabolic functions—from neurotransmitter and hormone balance to tissue healing, detox, and immunity. Many people also report that free-form aminos help ease over-medication and drug withdrawal effects.

We’re confident you won’t find another product with the same unique balance and form of ingredients for even close to the same price!

How are ‘free-form’ amino acids different from protein supplements?
Proteins consist of a long, complex ‘string’ of amino acids—all connected together. Proteins are like a bead necklace. Each bead on the necklace represents an individual amino acid on the ‘string’. When we eat proteins, our bodies need to break up the ‘string’ (by digestion) so that the individual amino acids can be utilized by our bodies.

‘Free-form’ amino acids, on the other hand, are already separate; they aren’t joined together with any other amino acids in a protein ‘string’. This allows the individual amino acids to be instantly absorbed and used by the body—without digestion. Our bodies then take these individual amino acids and use them as ‘building blocks’ for making millions of specialized proteins, which are vital for virtually every body function.

All the amino acids found in our Free Form Aminos can be absorbed quickly and completely.
